Whispering sounds
Come straight from above,
A lullaby said for those who love
What they cannot see; the one in the clouds
The one who unwraps us from our blackened shrouds.
He sits there laughing
Laughing at our pain,
Trying to make us sane
With a false promise of the clouds,
Raining down onto our heads,
Telling us a story until we're dead; only to learn it was all a lie.
Grasping us as a child
Telling us that we're gonna live a life
Above the light,
He holds us tight.
He's holding us above the fire
He will never let us try to forget
The life that we learned,
