A flicker of light glimmers behind your beautiful eyes
And a fire rages within you; causing heat to consume me,
Yet I find that you sometimes let the flame go out, to become cold,
Withering down to a small spark that I can barely see.

To whom this flame burns for I do not know, and I do not care
For my heart still aches at the simplest glance of you with him,
Why it is so difficult to comprehend love outside my barriers, it baffles me so
And why it is so hard for me to step away from them and find a love?

Why do you let your brightest flame burn out?
Your beauty is too strong to lose its spark,
So think highly at the fact that you’re someone’s muse, someone’s love, and someone’s fire
